What it means for you: Graduates and professionals in groups A1 and A2 can apply for this practical course on artificial intelligence in management. Pre-registration is open until 18 October 2026.

The Universidad de Alicante (UA) has created the Aula GESTAS, the permanent classroom for healthcare management and technology applied to health, based on needs identified in a consultative process at the Hospital Universitario de Torrevieja, the Hospital Quirónsalud de Torrevieja, as well as the Ayuntamiento de Torrevieja (town hall), which includes professionals in Nursing, Psychology and Social Work among its staff, in addition to other healthcare fields. Among the various planned activities of the Aula GESTAS, the course 'Artificial Intelligence applied to healthcare management' is being launched. Its main objective is to apply artificial intelligence (AI) tools to decision-making related to problems that arise at all levels of healthcare management. This is practical university training, applicable to real environments in hospitals, primary and social healthcare centres, as well as in non-healthcare public administration. It is taught by expert university professors in computer engineering and health, as well as sector professionals, in a hybrid format (in-person at the UA headquarters in Torrevieja and online), aimed at graduate students and higher professional groups (A1 and A2). Those who complete the course will receive 40 hours of university training and 4 ECTS credits. The course is an initiative organised by the Universidad de Alicante through the UA headquarters in Torrevieja. Among the main advantages of the course is that it provides training that combines healthcare and technological knowledge, with a strongly practical approach and personalised tutoring. It teaches the real use of AI, not just theory, with direct applicability to real cases and transferable both to the healthcare field and to public administration at different management levels, as well as private healthcare initiatives. The course will take place from 20 October to 19 November, from 16:00 to 20:00. Tuesday sessions will be in-person and held at the UA headquarters in Torrevieja, located in the Edificio AGAMED-Sede Interuniversitaria, and Thursday sessions will be online and synchronous. The course fee is €150, and the various collaborating entities have the right to nominate 5 active professionals or receive a fee exemption so they can take the course for free. Pre-registration is open until 18 October 2026 at this link: https://cvnet.cpd.ua.es/preinsua/estudio.aspx?idioma=es&codest=GO74 This university and professional training is endorsed not only by the Universidad de Alicante but also by the professionals involved in its coordination and teaching: - Loreto Maciá Soler.
